Evanston police incidents
July 17-19, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 78 incidents between the dates of Monday, July 17, and Wednesday, July 19. Incidents included two abandoned vehicles, two alarms, 17 animal problems, two agency assists, a citizen complaint, three citizen disputes, four citizen assists, two citizen investigative contacts, possession of paraphernalia, a false alarm, two fires, fraud, harassment, an information report, a jail incident, two juvenile problems, found property, a noise problem, a parking problem, property damage (non-vandalism), a protection order violation, a prisoner transport, resisting/interfering with police, four suspicious incidents, five traffic accidents with property damage, two thefts, unsecure premises, vagrancy, three wanted persons and two welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested five persons between the dates of July 17 and July 19.
Samuel Cazares, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing paraphernalia and for a drug court sanction.
Jordan V. Fox, of Evanston, was arrested for a misdemeanor probation violation.
Nicole M. Mezenen, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear.
Johanna Steinbeck, of Evanston, was arrested for interfering with police.
Hector M. Valerio, of Evanston, was arrested for a drug court sanction and for possessing paraphernalia.
