Evanston police incidents
July 30 - Aug. 1, 2018
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 85 incidents between the dates of Monday, July 30, and Wednesday, Aug. 1. Incidents included an alarm, three ambulance or medical assists, 21 animal problems, an agency assist, three citizen assists, controlled substance use, DUS, a fire, four juvenile problems, lost or found property, four noise problems, a public service program, two suspicious incidents, two hit-and-run traffic accidents, two traffic accidents with property damage, three wanted persons and a welfare check.
The Evanston Police Department arrested four persons between the dates of July 30 and Aug. 1.
Jason J. Makris, of Evanston, was arrested on a warrant for failing to pay.
Tevin A. Medina, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension and failing to appear.
Garrett B. Scherck, of Diamondville, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance, possessing stimulants/methamphetamine and child endangering.
Dee A. Trimble, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance, possessing paraphernalia and being a fugitive from justice.
