Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.

The Evanston Police Department responded to 299 incidents between the dates of Monday, Dec. 23, and Wednesday, Jan. 8. Incidents included four assaults, 10 alarms, 22 ambulance or medical assists, 46 animal problems, nine agency assists, three citizen disputes, three citizen complaints, 11 citizen assists, a citizen investigative contact, two civil problems, a communications offense, controlled substance use, marijuana possession, controlled substance possession, five domestic violence incidents, two DUIs, DWUS, two escorts, a false fire alarm, a fire and fraud.

Officers also responded to a harassment, 11 information reports, an intoxicated person, keeping the peace, lost or found property, a minor in possession of alcohol, four noise problems, a parking problem, non-vandalism property damage, a protection order violation, a prowler, a prisoner transport, five suspicious incidents, three hit-and-run traffic accidents, 13 traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic complaint, a traffic hazard, property theft, theft from a motor vehicle, shoplifting, vandalism, seven wanted persons and 25 welfare checks.

The Evanston Police Department arrested 16 persons between the dates of Dec. 23 and Jan. 8.

Rita Bates, of Durant, Oklahoma, was arrested for shoplifting.

Felipe J. Ceballos-Garcia, of Denver, was arrested for violating a protection order.

Kevin R. Cordova, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.

Eric A. Crandall, of Evanston, was arrested for violating a protection order.

Breck A. Daniels, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.

Jacob A. Difiore, of Evanston, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

Caitlen A. Edwards, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear.

Joshua R. Gorringe, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear.

Sari Hickman, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.

Joseph L. Lopez, of Fairview, Montana, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance.

Matthew K. Milam, of Evanston, was arrested for a child support issue.

Jamie R. Ruiz Quintero, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear.

Esmerelda Valerio, of Evanston, was arrested for interfering with police.

Eric F. Willis, of Evanston, was arrested twice for the purchase and/or possession of alcohol by or for someone under the age of 21 and driving while under the influence with a BAC of .08% or greater.

Chanon Willoughby, of Evanston, was arrested for using a controlled substance and possessing paraphernalia.

Alyssa M. Woodward, of Evanston, was arrested for domestic battery.
