Evanston High School three-sport athletes recognized

EVANSTON — Sixty-seven Evanston High Scool athletes were recently recognized for their achievement in being three-sport athletes throughout the 2017 -2018 school year. 

In addition, nine senior athletes were commemorated for doing the same for all four years of high school at EHS, receiving a gold watch in a classy looking rosewood box, emblazoned with an Evanston High School logo, on Thursday, May 31, in the front entrance of EHS, presided over by UCSD No. 1 activities director Bubba O’Neill, activities administrative assistant Dauna Bruce, and high school principal Merle Lester.

The nine senior four-year honorees pictured in the front row include Hunter Groll, Jess Richins, Nick Kunz, Tayler Groll, Micah Harvey, Matt Geary, Damien Hawkins, Ryan Gomez and Brock Rigby. 

Also pictured, in no particular order, are juniors Bridger Barker, Brittany Barton, Garrett Berger, Sierra Burleigh, Tyrus Cornia, Lexie Demander, Brelia Fuller, Bradshaw Haack, Tyrell Halladay, Brady Hurd, Ethan Moir, Cristofer Periman, Jesus Quintero, Reed Robinson, Brandon Sepos, Kody Smith and Weston Wiley.

Sophomore three-sports athletes were Jamin Barker, Latham Chandler, Mason Ellingford, Kaelyn Hiatt, Logan Hunt, Seanna Knighton, Dean Knighton, Gabe Morris, Zocia Nowakowski, Eric Orozco, Lance Palmer, Garet Sharp, Joe Trujillo, Taryn Wagstaff and Kerry Wheaton.

Completing their first year as a three-sport athlete are freshmen Heidi Barton, Nick Child, Degory day, Logan Dean, Logan Driver, Seanna Ellingford, Conner Fackrell, Robert Gomez, Rachael Haack, Cora Hatch,  Kaelyn Hiatt, Taryn Holt, Esmerelda Hornedo, Ellie Horrocks, Braxton Lind, Marina Metzel, Jagger Mitchell, Nayeli Mota, Tia Nelson, Quentzalli Penaloza, Lilly Williams and Ryan Worsley.

Nick Child, Cade Francom, Garrett Berger, Kody Smith and Seanna Knighton were also recognized but were not available for the photograph.
