John Patrick Pavlisin passed away Nov. 16, 2013 in Sandy, Utah. He was born Oct. 7, 1920 in Frontier, to Mike and Mary Hoderman Pavlisin.
He graduated from Kemmerer High School in 1939. He married Thelma Vincent on Nov. 15,1941.
They were married 61 years. He spent 3 1/2 years in the Merchant Marines during World War II in the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans.
John started Lee’s Welding Supply business in Evanston, Wyoming in 1951. He spent 25 years as a commercial fisherman out of Westport, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son and one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by daughter Jane (Jack) Kreider of Evanston, son Edward (Ruth)
Pavlisin of Sandy, Utah, one grandson Patrick (Jordan) Pavlisin of Sandy, Utah and one granddaughter Jennifer Pavlisin of West Jordan, Utah.
He requested cremation, no services and
a private burial. The family suggests donations to the Kemmerer Senior Citizens Center or a charity of your choice.
