Posted: Friday, Aug 23rd, 2013

Miriah White of Kemmerer meets with Barbara Hager on Wednesday. White drove to Evanston to deliver dog tags that once belonged to Hager's late husband.

EVANSTON – A Kemmerer woman brightened the day of an Evanston senior on Wednesday, presenting the Evanston woman with lost-and-found dog tags that belonged to her late husband.

Miriah White of Kemmerer was going through a collection of donated items for her personal clothing drive. White does the clothing drive in conjunction with the Lyman area clothing drive to help the needy.

“I just do it on my own,” White said. “It’s just to help the poor.”

A donation had come in from the American Legion Hall of Bridger Valley. Leftover items from the donation were sent from Lyman to White in Kemmerer.

She was sorting a pile of purses and cleaning out leftover items in them when she found an American soldier’s dog tags.
