EVANSTON — Uinta County Museum will host Cordell M. Anderson at the Brown Bag Lunch on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Cordell has taken on the adventure of the High Uintas in search of any trace of tie hack cabins. The tie hacks were early lumbermen who hewed the ties for the railroad across Uinta County. Railroad tie production was an active industry that employed many men in this area for half a century.

Cordell has hiked the Uintas for 20 years recording his findings. He started the High Uintas Project, and is a correspondent for KSL Outdoor Radio. His web page, cordellmanderson.com, carries many YouTube videos of his adventures.

Come and join us for his observations at the Beeman Cashin building at noon Aug. 1. Bring your lunch, and the museum will provide the water and pop.
