CHEYENNE ó The Wyoming Department of Education recently released its latest numbers on high school graduation rates within the state, which reveal a slightly-worsened overall rate of 78.9 percent. Thatís down from the previous termís 79.7 percent.
Evanstonís rate remains somewhat better, at 83.08 percent. In the eastern part of the county, Mountain View High School saw 87.1 percent of its seniors graduate in 2011-2012, while just over four out of five Lyman High School seniors ó or 80.95 percent ó graduated.
Of the stateís 48 school districts, 34 maintained a graduation rate of 80 percent or higher, according to a release from the department. Districts in Ten Sleep, Greybull, Sundance, Wind River and Lovell were among those with the highest graduation rates.For the complete article see the 05-07-2013 issue.
