Posted: Sunday, Apr 7th, 2013

EVANSTON — A trio of Uinta County residents are facing federal fraud charges, accused of receiving funds from the Wyoming Medicaid system for services to disabled children they did not actually provide, according to a release from Wyoming Attorney General Greg Phillips’ office.

“Harold and Amy Busskohl, of Lyman, were each indicted by the federal grand jury on one count of federal health care fraud for allegedly billing Wyoming Medicaid more $35,000 for services they did not provide,” the release said. “The Busskohls provided Medicaid services for developmentally disabled children.”

The third suspect in the list, from Evanston, faces a similar charge.

“Brenda Murray...was indicted by the federal grand jury on one count of federal health care fraud for allegedly billing Wyoming Medicaid more than $50,000 for services she did not provide for a disabled child,” according to the release.

The release said each defendant faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
