EVANSTON — Each year, spring brings flowers and new life to plants and animals. The American Red Cross invites you to celebrate the joys of renewal and help save lives by donating blood or platelets during the month of April.
The American Red Cross helps save lives each day by managing nearly half of the nation’s blood supply. Blood is needed every day, not just during emergencies or after a national tragedy. In the United States, every two seconds someone needs blood. It must be readily available for accident victims, routine surgeries, people with rare blood disorders and even some premature babies.
This spring, you can make a difference. All it takes is your willingness to help someone in need, and a pint of your blood. Any healthy person aged 18 or older and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. Valid identification is required for all blood donations.
The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive in Evanston on April 17 from 2:30 until 7:30 p.m. This drive will be held at the Evanston, Wyoming, Stake Center, located at 1224 Morse Lee Street — across from Clark School. Donors are welcome anytime during these hours, or they can make an appointment for a time that is more convenient by calling Will Davis at (307) 677-5168.
