Charles “Pat” Yaple passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Evanston at the age of 64.
Pat was born on June 3, 1948 in Ashland, Kan., to Charles I. Yaple and Lois Mae Jones. Pat served his country in the Vietnam War from August 1966 through May 1968. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and being with friends but, above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Jan; his daughter, Tera Velarde, and her children, Jolene, Garrett and Harrison, all of Lawton, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Kathy (Ken) Jorensen and their child, Chase, of Aurora, Colo.; a stepson, Rob (Michelle) Roth and their children, Andrew, Courtney, Michael and Samantha of Garden City, Kan.; a stepson, James Roth, and his child Brittany, also of Garden City; three sisters, Rene (Clark) Gates, of Paragonah, Utah, Robin (Dennis) Speer, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Marilynn German, of Garden City; and many nieces and nephews.
As were his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston.
