Scouting For Food Drive

EVANSTON — The Boy Scouts of America spring food drive, set for March 23, is coordinated throughout three councils in southwest Wyoming,  Utah and southern Idaho. The food donations are used localy, and food needs remain high. Non-perishable, commercially packaged foods are acceptable, especially those high in protein.

Cub and Boy Scouts are assigned to contact every home at least once, and preferably twice if needed. The drive will start at 9 a.m., and should be completed by noon this coming Saturday. Look for a Scouting For Food bag on your doorstep. Troop 911 and Pack 53 will help receive and stock the donations in Evanston.

Residents who are not contacted by neighborhood Scouts for some reason, but wish to help the campaign, can deliver food items to the Trinity Lutheran Church, by Smith’s, or to the collection sites in Bridger Valley or Kemmerer.

All who are able to give a little make a big impact collectively. The efforts of all donors and Scout volunteers is very much appreciated, and a patch for service will be available for all registered Scouts and leaders.
