Kenneth Felix Aimone
Kenneth Felix Aimone passed away at his home in Fort Bridger on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at the age of 65.

He was born July 13, 1947, in Coalville, Utah, to Felix and Mary Josephine (Condos) Aimone. Kenny married Esther L. Bird on March 23, 1967, in Carson City, Nev. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept. 23, 1978.

Kenny was a member of the LDS church. He was the owner and operator of “North Slope Outfitters,” and loved packing into the mountains to fish and hunt. He was a saddle bronc rider for several years, earning the Championship in the RMRA Association in 1976. He loved the rodeo and attended Cheyenne Frontier Days and Dodge Circuit Finals every year for many years.

He was a clown for local rodeos, helped with the July Fourth barbecue, and occasionally put entries in the parade. He organized the high school rodeo club for the kids in the Bridger Valley. Kenny worked for FMC Corporation for 40 years, until he retired in 2009. He loved to work on his ranch, and took pride in his alfalfa patch. He loved running on the walk path in the wintertime, traveling, watching his grandchildren play sports, and spending time with his family and friends, especially Gary Massa.

Kenny is survived by his wife Esther; his sons Stanley (Becky) Aimone of Ft. Bridger, Shawn (Dee) Aimone of Ft. Bridger, Skeeter (Jenna) Aimone of Mountain View; daughter Vanessa Aimone (Augusto Jamias) of Rock Springs; eight grandchildren; his mother, Mary Aimone; brothers Larry Aimone, Rudy (Jennifer) Aimone and Pete (Wendy) Aimone; and a sister, MaeVonne Adams.

He was preceded in death by his father, Felix, and his grandparents.

Funeral servics will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Lyman LDS Stake Center in Urie. A viewing will be held on Friday night at the Stake Center, from 6 to 8 p.m., as well as one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment will follow services at the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
