EVANSTON — This year’s event marks the 5th annual Poinsettia Ball, hosted by the Evanston Area Community Foundation and set to be held on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb. 14.
The festivities will get started with a cash bar at 6 p.m., followed by dinner catered by Gateway Gourmet Catering at 7 p.m. Featured will be a prime rib and pasta primavera buffet.
The Evanston Civic Orchestra will serenade attendees with subtle music throughout the dinner, while local band Elevation will lead couples to the dance floor. Also ongoing throughout the evening will be a silent auction, with art and other items donated by local businesses.
Tickets are $50 per person for this formal or semi-formal event, with the option of sponsoring a table of eight for $400. Seating is limited. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Blyth Art Gallery, Home Décor or the Evanston Chamber of Commerce. All proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations. Since the Evanston Area Community Foundation’s inception in 1996, the organization has been able to provide thousands of dollars in grants to organizations such as the Uinta County Museum, Young Musicians, Inc., Uinta County Library Foundation, Wyoming Women’s Foundation and the Festival For Families.
