EVANSTON — On Feb. 1, the professional group Presidio Brass, from San Diego, Calif., will perform at Davis Middle School in Evanston starting at 7 p.m.
Since forming in 2006, Presidio Brass has rocketed to success as the face of a bold new generation in brass entertainment. By combining a brass quintet, piano and percussion instruments with fresh, original arrangements, their unique sound has become a trademark for the ensemble, captivating audiences everywhere. And the Evanston Civic Orchestra will join Presidio Brass as a special guest.
As an educational outreach, Presidio Brass members are presenting brass clinics at Evanston’s middle and high schools in the morning.
The band departments at DMS, EMS and Evanston Civic Orchestra members are selling tickets to the concert. Tickets are also available in Evanston at the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, Copy Cats and Jewl’s Card & Gift, Curves and, in the Bridger Valley, at Lyman Town Hall and Benedict’s Market. Presidio Brass is presented in partnership with BOCES and the Evanston Civic Orchestra, and is sponsored by the Western States Arts Federation, and the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
