June R. Sims ~ Aug. 6, 1916 Jan. 7, 2013

June R. Sims passed away Jan. 7, 2013, in Evanston.

She was born on Aug. 6, 1916, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frederick S. Robinson and Florence Farnsworth Robinson.

June married Arthur Sims on Oct. 21, 1935, in Morgan, Utah.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed being a part of the Relief Society, and served in the Mutual program. Together, she and her husband worked to run the Sims Dairy, and then the Sims Ranch. June also worked as a nurse for many years at the Memorial Hospital.

She was a kind, compassionate, caring person who never lost her great sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking bread, taking care of her flowers and being in the great outdoors. She was devoted fan of the Utah Jazz. June will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by a sister, Signa Johnson, of Evanston; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters Alta, Ivy, Leah, Erma, Elaine and Winifred.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be held Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. at the Evanston City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be very appreciated.
