EVANSTON — The circumstances surrounding a man’s death in Evanston remain under investigation, and his identity has been withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to Evanston police Lt. Bill Jeffers.
Police received a call Thursday, Dec. 27, from an individual who had seen a man’s body located underneath the viaduct on Sixth Street north of Front Street. Emergency responders quickly converged on the scene, where the man’s body was discovered and removed.
Though the cause of death has not yet been determined, temperatures the night before the discovery of the body in the area had dipped into the single digits, accompanied by periods of light snow.
