Nicholas Mark Garn, 20, of Bridger Valley, died Nov. 30, 2012, as a result of heart complications.
He was born Dec. 27, 1991, the son of Mark and Kathy (Hammon) Garn. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 2010.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Mark and Kathy Garn, of Urie; a brother,
Christopher Garn, and his daughter, Afton; a brother, Curtis Garn; two sisters, Jenni
(Troy) Johnson, and their two daughters, Avery and Shelby, and Natalie (Steven)
Pierce. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Lauenna Hall Garn, of Garland, Utah;
and maternal grandmother, Gloria Groom Hammon, of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Nick had a passion for life. He fought hard for the last couple years to be strong
through all his medical complications. He found solace in working on his dirt bike
and Jeep out in his dad’s shop. If he wasn't tinkering in the shop, you could find him somewhere in the mountains. He was playful and motivated, even through his pain.
The Garn family appreciates the warmth and loving support of the community.
Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 3, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Urie L.D.S. Stake Center, in Urie. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Urie L.D.S. Stake Center, with Bishop Mike Jackson officiating.
Interment will follow services at the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established at the WYO CHEM Federal Credit Union in Urie, (307) 786-2656 in Nicholas's memory.
