Serendipity to host multiple author book signing Nov. 17

EVANSTON — Local store Serendipity, at 900 Main St., will host an author event Saturday, Nov. 17, featuring a variety of area writers. They include:

• R.E. Close, author of the Warlords of Galn, Arle of the Sand and Sarancus of the Rift

• Kayne Pyatt, author of Women of Eden and Old Woman’s Garbage

• Bren Payne, author of Piled High

• Lila Bond, co-author of The Lonely Life

• Denice Wheeler, author of The Lonely Life and China Mary

A memoir writing workshop presented by Professor Barbara Smith is also planned at Serendipity Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
