MILFORD, Utah — The Rebels of Rich County rolled over Milford on the road this past Friday, Sept. 28, 46-6.
Kaden Thomson ran for a 55-yard score and Austin Groll reached the end zone from 36 yards out, as Rich opened up a 13-0 first quarter advantage. Rich lit up the scoreboard for 27 in the second quarter, to take a 40-0 lead at recess. Thomson added a 19-yard paydirt run, while Groll connected on a 9-yard touchdown pass to Dyson Barker. Dakota Clark and Cache Sabey also scored touchdowns for the Rebels, with Groll accounting for the Rebels’ only score in the second half, from 17 yards out, in the 46-6 final.
The game circled on the calendar takes place this weekend, as the Rebels host the two-time defending 1A state champions, the Eagles of Duchesne, in a 4 p.m. kickoff at Rich. The third-ranked Rebels have run their record to 5-1, while the top-ranked Eagles are a perfect 6-0, receiving a test from Summit Academy in a 14-0 slugfest. The Rebels knocked off Summit Academy 35-17 in week three.
