Paula M. Dawson, age 80 passed away on Jan. 29 at Rocky Mountain Care in Evanston.
She was born on July 25, 1929, in Hollywood, Calif., the daughter of Ted and Peggy (Kays) Ferguson.
Paula married Michael Dawson on Dec. 24, 1955 in Tucson, Ariz. Paula loved to travel. Paula was a woman who never met a stranger. She was willing to help anyone at anytime and always knew everything has a purpose.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Dawson, of Evanston; sons, Mike R. (Inez) Dawson, of Sandy, Utah and Ken (Pauline) Fountain, of Idaho; daughters, Denese (Lanny) Dill, of Arizona, Tina (Mike) Endicott of Nebraska, Sherry (Dale) Shanklin of Georgia, and Janene (Jose) Zimmerly of Montana.
Paula is survived by 20 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy Ferguson and Lloyd Ferguson; and a sister, Jacki Herrey, of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held on Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston.
