AnnaMae Kennedy Cornia was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Ogden, Utah, to Mary Jackson and Wayne Joseph Kennedy. She passed away on Aug. 25, 2013, at her home in Randolph, Utah.
She is preceded in death by her mother; father; brother, Wayne J. Kennedy; and sister, JoeAnn Heap.
AnnaMae grew up in Randolph, Utah. She graduated from South Rich High School and married her sweetheart, John Owen Cornia, on Feb. 10, 1956. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.
They raised their family and resided in Randolph. She is survived by her husband, John and their six children: Lonie (Donna) Cornia - Randolph, Utah; Cathy (Alvin) McNeil - Marion, Utah; Kent (Jeannie) Cornia – Midland, Texas; Rodney (Joannie) Cornia - St. George, Utah; Jackie (Jimmy) O’Halloran - Salt Lake City, Utah; and Danny Cornia - Randolph, Utah; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
AnnaMae was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in various callings. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She became an excellent cook through her years of cooking at the Deseret Livestock and 24 years as a cook for the Rich County School District.
She loved dancing and playing card games. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, Colorado Rockies, Utah Jazz and bull riding.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the Randolph LDS Church, and Thursday, August 29, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. with funeral services at noon.
Interment will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
