Cheryl Ann Foster ~ June 21, 1943 March 6, 2013

Posted: Tuesday, Mar 12th, 2013

Cheryl Ann Foster

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was called home to be with her father in heaven on March 6, 2013, after heart failure. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her adoring family and the two dogs and three cats that she loved so much.

Cheryl Ann was born the first day of summer, June 21, 1943, to Nora and G.H. Peterson, the oldest daughter of six children.

Cheryl grew up in Pocatello, Idaho, where she graduated from Pocatello High School. That is where she met the love of her life, Bert Martin Foster. They were married on June 15, 1962, and had four children.

Martin and Cheryl lived in Pocatello for many years. They moved to Georgia, Texas and Louisiana before finally settling in Evanston, for the last 31 years, near her beloved mountains and family.

Cheryl loved to travel, paint and do home projects. She owned a cabin in Alpine, where she spent most weekends with her grandchildren and children. Cheryl was up for anything adventurous, even floating down the Snake River in a raft. Mom always made holidays special, especially Christmas, never leaving a detail or anyone forgotten.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, G.H. Peterson; her mother, Nora Peterson; a sister, Shannon; and her brother, Steve.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, B. Martin Foster; her children, Candace (Steve) Bindrup, of Ogden, Utah.; Heather and Jesse Shurz, of Layton, Utah.; and Tate and Angie Foster, of Evanston, and Whitney and Troy Mitchell, of Lyman; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers Doug Peterson and Greg Peterson; and sister Susan Yount.

The family wants to give special thanks to her wonderful neighbors, Uinta Senior Citizens Home Health and Hospice she loved you all so much.

Our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and wife will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at the Sage Street LDS Chapel in Evanston, with Bishop Dennis Poppinga officiating. Interment and graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at the Pocatello, Idaho, Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston. Online condolences may be made at crandallfhevanston.com.
