Dorothy Anderson Wilson
Dorothy Anderson Wilson passed away in Evanston Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the age of 83.

Dorothy was born in Heber City, Utah, to Ivan and Vera Anderson Jan. 4, 1930. Before moving to Evanston, she worked at Hill Field Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, doing instrument repair.

She loved to travel and see the world. She opened her own business in Evanston and worked at her bench doing custom silver work for around 25 years. She will always be remembered for her custom silver Elk Tooth rings that she made for many of her customers.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Harbert of Evanston, and Shirley Kaesmeyer and her husband, Jim, of Longmont, Colo.; three grandsons, Brandon Chavez, of Evanston, Kirby (Adrienne) Wilson of Coalville, Utah, and Duaine Harbert of Lenior, N.C.; and sisters Julia Briggs, of Evanston, and Kaye Herron of Overton, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Wilson; son, Michael Wilson; brother, Jack Anderson; and sister, Vera Ryan.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Evanston City Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
