Margaret Mary “Marge” Sweat

Margaret Mary “Marge” Sweat, 96, passed away on Jan. 19, 2013 in Evanston, Wyoming.

She was born Nov. 7, 1916, in Butte, Mont., to Johann Adam and Elizabeth Anna (Heppel) Hardle. She was the oldest of nine children. She married Jack Turner on April 12, 1940. He preceded her in death. She later married Melvin Sweat. He also preceded her.

Marge was a member of the LDS church, and loved working in the Manti Temple for a number of years.

She enjoyed dancing and won dance contests. She moved to Evanston in 2002 to be closer to family in her later life. Most of all, Margaret loved the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Leana (John) Holderegger, of Evanston; son Glen Martin Turner, of St. George, Utah; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Raymond (Pauline) Hardle of Salt Lake City, Utah, Danny Hardle of Belmont, Calif.; and sisters Helen Nylund, of Santa Maria, Calif., May Kemp, of St. George, and Betty Lambert of Roseville, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward, Martin (Billy), and Cliff; three sons, Richard, Jack, and Ron; and a daughter-in-law, Susie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, at noon in the LDS Ward chapel at 295 S. Main St. in Manti, Utah. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 to 11:45 a.m.

Interment will follow in the Manti Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
