Jacqueline ‘Jacque’ Dorothy Edwards

Jacque passed away Sunday afternoon at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston with her family and close friends around her. At the young age of 64, she had been battling a series of illnesses.

She was born in Rock Springs to the late Dorothy Tomich Edwards and Jack L. Edwards.

Jacque had a life full of adventure. She graduated high school, then married and had her daughter. During this time, she moved to Vernal, Utah, then her journey brought her back to Rock Springs and she worked full time bookkeeping in Sweetwater County for many years, before her final move to Evanston.

In her travels, she made many lifelong friends. She always made people feel important and welcomed. Jacque enjoyed reading, dancing, country music, her one vacation to Cozumel, Mexico, and cooking. Her favorite holiday was Halloween.

She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Nitse, and Elaine’s boyfriend, Mike Carrillo, and his two boys; brother-in-law Ed Bowker, Sr., husband of her late sister Marlene and his son, Ed Bowker Jr. and his children; her sister, Brenda Harsha, and her children, Christy Edwards, Mandy Snyder, Warren Simmons and their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving man, Glen Carter, and doggie Stella.

Her celebration of life will be Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at the LDS Church, 251 Elm St. in Evanston.
