Christopher Aaron Patzer, 22, of Stevensville, Mich., returned home to his Heavenly Father on Friday Sept. 21, 2012, at his home.
Chris was the beloved son of Ron and Mary (Ressie) Patzer. He was born June 30, 1990, in Laramie. Chris lived for the first three years of his life in Evanston, and moved with his family to St. Joseph in 1993. A lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, he graduated from Trinity Lutheran School. Upon graduation he attended Lakeshore High School and graduated in 2008. While in high school, he participated in varsity football, wrestling and had a special love for the marching band. He was also active in musical theater, where he reprised the role of “Big Jule” in the production of “Guys and Dolls.” He was also the emcee of the annual variety show, and was selected by his peers to present the commencement address at his 2008 graduation ceremony. More importantly, he is remembered by his peers, staff, coaches and family for his wonderful smile, great hugs and genuine concern for others. He was a genuinely loving young man who went out of his way to be of service to others.
He truly loved spending time with his family, being outdoors, and especially fishing with his “Grandpa Chick.” He was employed and thoroughly enjoyed his work as a spa technician at Sensational Spas in Stevensville, Mich. He is genuinely loved and will be missed by his many friends and family.
Chris is survived by his parents, Ron and Mary, of Stevensville; grandmother Doreen Ressie of Lewiston, Minn.; aunts and uncles Don (Debra) Patzer, Garry (Sue) Patzer, Larry Patzer and fiance Teresa KeIm, Charlotte Mueller, Roger (Jolene) Ressie and Don (Heide) Ressie; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.E. (Chick) and Edna Patzer of St. Joseph, and Clarence Ressie, of Lewiston.
