Steven Ray Morris passed away on Jan. 31 at his home in Evanston. He was born on April 25, 1956 in Evanston, the son of John H. and Mary LaVon (Tredway) Morris.
He graduated from Evanston High School. His hobbies were painting, drawing, writing poems, and watching anything educational. He was best known from working at the Whirl Inn in Evanston. If you went to the Whirl Inn, you knew “Squeak.” He was a “Ray” of sunshine to everyone that knew him, hence the middle name.
Steven is survived by his father, John H. Morris; a brother, Clint; and a sister, Sis. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary LaVon Morris.
A memorial service to celebrate his life, will be held at the Veranda Bar on Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston.
