The Evanston Thunder softball team will hold an ice fishing tournament on Feb. 5 at the Sulpher Creek Reservoir.
The tournament will raise money to help fund the Evanston Thunder softball team.
“All proceeds will go to the 12 and under, and fourteen and under softball teams,” said organizer Kyle Tynsky.
Tynsky said he expects a good turnout for this weekend’s tournament.
“We’ve got people coming from as far as west Utah; we’ve got quite a few guys from the city and a lot of local people pre-registered,” he said.
Cash prizes will be given to the three longest trout caught in the tournament — 30 percent total entry fees will be awarded to the first place winner; 20 percent total entry fees will be awarded to the second place winner; and 10 percent total entry fees will be awarded to the third place winner. For the complete article see the 02-01-2011 issue.
