EVANSTON — For his senior project, EHS student Quinn Lee decided to raise funds for local multiple sclerosis efforts.

“I decided to do this because of people who I know who are close to me, and people I work with,” Lee told the Herald. “There are so many people affected by MS in this region. Plus, it’s such a worthy cause.”

Lee sold raffle tickets for a 50-50 drawing, with raffle ticket purchasers armed with the knowledge they could win half of the funds raised. $1,040 was raised.

Local Multiple Sclerosis Society coordinator Kerri Bumgardner was on hand for the drawing in the Uinta County Complex on Monday, April 1, and drew the winning ticket, good for $520, on behalf of the winner, Merlin Verts of the Bridger Valley. Verts was thrilled to receive the proceeds, according to Lee, as the winnings came at a time when they were much needed.
