EVANSTON — The Evanston Volunteer Fire Fighters annual demolition derby is set to be featured in the coming weeks on the Velocity Channel’s “Kings of Crash” series, according to Evanston Fire Department fire investigator Capt. Tim Overy.
The reality series, which is set to begin this Sunday, Feb. 10, focuses on the gritty realities of the demolition derby world. The show will run weekly through March 22.
“The Evanston Derby should air seventh out of eight [episodes], from what we’ve been told,” Overy told the Herald. “We don’t know the exact date.”
The Evanston Volunteer Fire Fighters hold a benefit demolition derby every September at the Uinta County Fairgrounds.
