EVANSTON — The staff at the Uinta County Herald is pleased to announced the addition of Liz Hoefler as a staff reporter. Hoefler, a native of Minnesota but an Evanston resident since 1992, started with the newspaper in October.
“We are happy to have Liz on staff, helping to bring important news and community information to our readers,” Herald managing editor Matt Roberts said. “Our reader are already enjoying excellent work from her in these pages, and they can look forward to much more in the future. She has made a great addition to our staff.”
Hoefler is currently working toward a degree in English from Western Wyoming Community College, and enjoys reading, art and the outdoors in her spare time.
“I love the landscape and the small town community,” Hoefler said, “but the people really are what makes Evanston a great place to live.
Hoefler’s husband, Jimmy, is a substitute teacher for the Uinta County School District No. 1. She is the youngest of three children of local residents Bruce and Bonnie Winkelman.
