Area residents are being invited to a number of local events honoring Veterans Day.
VFW Post 4280 in Evanston will host a ceremony at the Uinta County Courthouse’s monuments at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, to honor area veterans.
Following the ceremony, ham, beans and cornbread will be served at the VFW post, at 917 Front Street.

In the Bridger Valley, the American Legion Post 36 annual Veterans Day dinner is slated for Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Fort Bridger American Legion Hall.
Cocktails start at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7 p.m., with roast beef and all the fixings.

The Uinta Count Veterans Board is sponsoring the annual “Veterans Day Celebration Dinner” Sunday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Evanston Machine Shop. The event will include dinner, music and a short program.
The dinner is $18 at the door.

And the North Elementary PTA in Evanston will present their fourth annual Veterans Day celebration Monday, Nov. 12, at the school, 500 Cedar St.
Veterans are invited to attend the event. A free breakfast will be served to veterans at 8 a.m., with a flag presentation by the National Guard set for 9:15 a.m. The school’s fifth grade students will offer their Veterans Day presentation at 9:30 a.m.
