Charles was born on July 4, 1943, in Ogden, Utah, to Virginia Lee Cue. He died Tuesday, Oct. 10, in Memphis, Tennessee, after a fall.
Charles spent his childhood in Evanston, where he grew up with the best of friends and many cousins. He graduated from Evanston High School in 1961 and attended the University of Wyoming, where he graduated with a degree in education.
While in Laramie, Charles met his first wife, Kathy. They eventually settled in Evanston and Charles ran the family business, Cue’s Clothing. During the oil boom in Evanston, Cue’s closed and Charles went to work in the oil industry.
Charles and Kathy divorced, and Charles relocated to Newcastle. During this time, he met and married his second wife, Judy.
After a few years in Newcastle, they moved to Rock Springs, where Charles sold insurance. Judy and Charles moved to Missouri to live. During this time, he worked in several industries and eventually ended up driving over-the-road trucks.
He spent a few years driving, which he really enjoyed. After retiring, he and Judy moved to Paragould, Arkansas, where he enjoyed being near two of his daughters and his grandchildren.
Charles loved the Wyoming Cowboys and followed them regularly. He was also a member of Blue Lodge No. 4 and the Korein Shriners.
He loved a good joke, a long visit on the phone and his visits to Evanston to see much loved family and friends. He fought leukemia for a few years, but never let it stop him.
He was always proud of his kids and his grandchildren and wanted to know what everyone was up to. He loved to follow politics and was always up for a spirited conversation.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lee Cue; stepfather, George Cue; and sister, Natalie Cue; as well as many beloved family members.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Arkansas; his children: Cara (James) McDaniel of Evanston, Marcus Cue of Arizona, Celia Cue of Missouri, and Caitie (Ben) Childers of Kentucky. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jordan McDaniel, Alissa McDaniel, Nathaniel Cue, Jerris Cue, Jacob Cue and Luke Childers.
A memorial service was held in Paragould, Arkansas, and a celebration of life will be held in Evanston at a later date.
