Seniors Chelsey Brown, Cami Barthlome, Allie Eastman and Brittney Esterholdt were honored at their last home volleyball game on Saturday.

Rich hosted 3A champions Morgan in a powerhouse match-up that went to five games.

Morgan pulled it out in the final tie breaking match 15-9 after winning the first match 25-21, then losing the next two by the same margin and winning the fourth 26-16.

Coach Cindy Stuart will soon find out if her strategy of packing the late season schedule with tough opponents will pay off.

The Lady Rebels are in Orem today competing in the Utah State 1A finals where the competition for the trophy will be fierce.

Piute is dubbed as the main contender having beaten out Panguitch (last year’s 1A champions) during regular season play for the first place spot in region 15.

That contest will likely take place in the third round tomorrow. The Rich ladies are determined to bring back the trophy to where it belongs, however, and plan to keep advancing to the championship match later that same day, where it is possible they will once again battle with Panguitch for the top spot in Utah 1A.

Today’s schedule pits Rich against Monument Valley and then against the winner of the Christian Heritage vs Dugway match.
