Evanston Chamber of Commerce Director Summer Meagher (pictured) will finish up at the end of May and pack her bags to move east.
Her husband, Jim, who was formerly the superintendent for the Purple Sage Golf Course, got a job at the Vanango Country Club in Reno, Penn., near where he grew up.
“Goes to show you never know what the future will hold for you,” Meagher said.
She said they are moving to Venango County, in the northwest part of the state, specifically looking at homes in Franklin or Oil City.
“I’m definitely going to miss the community and all the dear friends we’ve made over the years,” Meagher said.
Meagher moved to Evanston in 2001, and started as chamber director in August 2007.
Prior to becoming the director, she worked in insurance and was involved with the chamber.
“I just really believed in the mission of the chamber and wanted to be a part of it,” Meagher said.
