EVANSTON -- Two Evanston women are suing the state of Wyoming for their right to get married.
Evanston's Nonie Proffit and Cora Courage are one of four same-sex couples, who along with LGBT rights group Wyoming Equality, filed a lawsuit in Laramie County Wednesday, March 5, challenging the state's ban on same-sex marriage.

EVANSTON -- Once again the annual chili cook off in Evanston was a huge success.
This year marked the eighth Spice the Ice Chili Cook Off.
The event was held at the Evanston Rail Yards Machine Shop. Three different kinds of chili were again in the competition.

The Herald reported last Friday that art had been cut from the elementary school curriculum in Uinta County School District No. 1. While art hasn't been fully eliminated from the curriculum, officials have confirmed the program has indeed been deprioritized and students will see less time -- significantly less time, some say -- with art going forward.
