Four Uinta County World War II veterans are scheduled to visit the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. this month as part of a new Honor Flight Wyoming trip.

Traditionally, whenever the Evanston Airport Day AirShow and Fly-in comes around, someone from the Herald is given the opportunity to fly along with one of the Aeronautic pilots.

City to pay back excess taxes from ‘94

City officials recently received a letter from the Wyoming State treasurer requesting a repayment amount of $62,144 that had been overpaid from mineral severance tax distributions in 1994.
City treasurer Kathy Defa said Wyoming legislators passed a GAAP accounting practice in 1994. It required the state to change from cash basis to an accrual basis.

Fort Bridger Rendezvous starts today

The 38th Annual Fort Bridger Rendezvous kicks off today for a weekend of history and fun at the Fort Bridger State Historic Site.
It is the second biggest visitor event in the state of Wyoming.

Flying high at Evanston Airshow

Evanston took to the skies on Saturday for the Evanston Airport Day Airshow and Fly In. Admission was free to the public. Spectators watched these professional pilots perform feats of aerobatics and other amazing stunts in spite of the hazardous winds that came in the wake of a thunderstorm earlier that morning.

City hears residents’ maintenance, safety concerns
